MORNINGSIDE RESIDENCE

This sweet traditional yellow clapboard home in the Atlanta neighborhood, Morningside, was desiring to replace an ill-fitted “Keebler elf” style rear deck with a more aesthetically coherent space for celebrating their children’s birthday parties and their adult ping pong gatherings. With that said, our studio was hired. We designed for the young family a new screened-in porch + side deck that mirrored the home’s classic aesthetics. And in an ode to Atlanta Tree preservation + the client’s wishes we were able to keep the beautiful shade tree that grew right in the middle of the site. We did this by designing the deck around the tree. This was a small, yet fun project.
