Our Design Process
What is our Design Process? Our residential design process is made up of design phases and each phase builds on the previous phase- beginning with our Pre-Design Phase: which includes our initial in person design consultation, + As-Built Drawings and then move into our Design Phases: schematic design, design development and construction/contract documents. We then conclude with our Post-Design Phases: bid assistance and construction administration.

Initial Design Consultation:
This is where everything begins. This is your first step to falling in love with where you live. We will meet you in person at your project’s site where we discuss with you, your needs, dreams and the scope of your project. As-Built Drawings:
The on-site measurements of the existing building conditions are gathered for your project and placed into drawings.
Pre-Design Phase
Schematic Design:
Design ideas are produced for the client to review and compare.
Design Development:
Drawings begin to take definition with the addition of furniture plans, dimensions, and material selections.
Construction/Contract Documents:
The detailed drawing set is completed for bidding, permitting, and construction.
Design Phase
Bid Assistance:
The project is presented and explained by us to the general contractors bidding on the project, and their bids are then reviewed and placed on a spreadsheet to see how the bids compare. We will act as an adviser for our clients in choosing their project’s general contractor.
Construction Administration:
We offer you regular site visits are scheduled for construction observation + payment requests are reviewed by our studio.
