With the dreams of starting a family, our studio was hired to expand the original one-story 1942 cottage style house into a 2-story home, complete with an upstairs primary suite, a central sitting area with a central fireplace and 2 bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom. The existing main level was fully renovated to expand and modernize the kitchen along with a new screened in porch that could be easily accessed from the kitchen. The original main floor fireplace was also resurrected, and the new staircase was designed and built around the fireplace – overlooking a double story area of windows and a full wall of glass doors to the new screened in porch - creating a sundrenched experience. Every aspect of the home was renewed, redesigned or rebuilt.
